in pursuit of happiness


















I shall share with you my little secret on how i stay calm, relaxed and serene. However these are just how i handle those tough emotions that drives the demons out of me. Lets face it, i am human. I feel as much emotions as you do. I used to be a very pessimistic person. I used to have terrible mood-swings, I had an ill-temper, I was terribly bitter, and looking back, i don't know how anyone really could stand me? It's quite surprising really. I'm glad i have changed though, i am pretty much nonchalant now. I know that a close friend of mine is not very fond of this change, but everyone has to grow up at one point or another. We can't live in the past. The way i handle such strong emotions like anger or sadness, is just not feel them at all. I let go early, nip it in the bud. I think the only reason why we feel such deep emotions is because we get too attached to them when they first present themselves.. So just learn to let go, and everything will be a-okay :) Okay let us begin.


Things i do when i am upset, depressed or just feeling lousy :


1; Brew a cup of tea, add an appropriate (well, an appropriate amount for me may be a little too much. I might even become a diabetic someday, oh gosh i hope i won't though) amount of sugar and add condensed milk. Stir them all together and you get a yummy concoction! 


2; Read a good book. I could honestly spend hours and hours reading! Reading would be the ultimate medicine for loneliness, to me. But honestly, reading does wonders guys!


3; Solitude. To spend some time by myself. It allows me time to think and space to breathe and let loose. I have always thought that it was more satisfying to go out alone than with someone else because when you are alone, you can do whatever you want to do. Eat wherever/whatever you want to eat. But if you’re with somebody, you need to think about where the other person wants to go or what that person wants to eat. This might sound really selfish but no, sometimes you have to do things by yourself. Independence is a state of mind.


4; Tumblr it up! rulestobehappyaresohappy , happythings , and my personal favourite, fuckyeahhappy ! It'll definitely put a smile on your face hehe!


5; Call up someone who is close to you to help take your mind off things. I’d usually call Mutma hehe ^^


6; Pamper yourself with fragranced goodies. I do this A LOT. I’d light scented candles, rub divine body lotions on my body, have a long bath.. Anything really. The smell just calms me instantly it’s almost like magic!
